Philosophy Behind the Keledones
In keeping with the Hephaestus Audio design philosophy (please see here and here), the Keledones is meticulously executed and all audible parameters are designed to be as smooth as possible. For example, components are placed to minimize interference, internal wiring is kept to an absolute minimum, and no connectors are used inside the amplifier – only solder. Frequency response, noise and distortion are all kept as smooth as possible across all operating ranges – from the threshold of hearing to the threshold of pain. The reason for taking pains to do this is that our brain is wired to be hypersensitive to change, much more so than to absolute value. The nature of our hearing is taken into account with the Keledones in order to give you the most engaging musical experience that your system is capable of.

The Khryseiai Keledones (“Golden Charmers”) are golden women crafted by Hephaestus and given the power of song. The Keledones combines the aesthetics of the Aphrodite with WBT NextGen™ silver audio connectors (WBT-0705 Ag and WBT-0210 Ag) and Oyaide silver IEC inlets (Oyaide IEC-CM 174-R). This combination is beautiful both aesthetically and acoustically.
